Located on 43 acres in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia, Lost River Retreat Center is within two hours of Washington, DC. Adjoining the beautiful George Washington National Forest, its peace and tranquility are perfectly suited for times of retreat and renewal.

A Place For Rest

The Lost River Retreat Center provides year-round comfortable accommodations for groups of all sizes. The facilities include two lodges adjoining a large open meadow for recreation and sports, an outdoor activities building, a pond, and several outdoor worship and meeting spaces.

All guest rooms are heated, carpeted and have private baths.

The Main Lodge

Large Dining Area	Our staff prepares delicious home-cooked meals.
Five Guest Rooms	Total sleeping capacity on bunk beds is 22.
Game Room	With a ping-pong table and piano

The North Lodge

Large Meeting Room This new addition provides a perfect setting for larger group meetings.
Ten Large Guest Rooms Each room has a double bed, a single bed and a bunk bed. Each room can comfortably accommodate 1-5 people. Total capacity is 55.

A Place for Recreation

Enjoy the wide variety of recreational activities. Lost River offers:

Hiking Basketball Tennis Swingset and Fort
Field Games Volleyball Ping-pong Horse Shoes
Sled Riding Picnicing Campfires

Public Swimming is available at the the nearby Trout Pond (4 miles) and at Lost River State Park (12 miles). Fishing, skiing (downhill and cross-country), canoeing, camping, and horseback riding are also offered nearby. Enjoy the large fireplace in the Lodge, or build a campfire outside next to the pond. During the snow season, bring your sleds and brave the hill at the Main Lodge.

This popular retreat center fills up fast! Please make reservations several months in advance. We sometimes have openings on shorter notice.
