If you have an emergency regarding the preschool, please contact Anne Daniel at 703-471-0511 or DanielAnne@aol.com.About Vienna Baptist Children's CenterA ministry of Vienna Baptist Church, the Vienna Baptist Children’s Center is a high-quality early childhood program that provides a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development of young children while responding to the needs of families. VBCC welcomes children ages 3 months through 5 years with diverse developmental needs. Begun in 1971 as a Mother’s Day Out program, VBCC has grown into a developmental school serving 170 children a week from 127 families, served by a staff of 34—15 teachers, 16 teaching assistants, and four administrative staff. Together, the families and staff are culturally diverse, representing many countries from around the globe. At VBCC, we teach that God is a loving God who made the world, loves all people, and expects us to love and care for each other. The school provides a multiethnic environment of books, pictures, music, dolls, and toys. Prayer, religious songs, Bible stories, and the teaching of Christian values are included in our curriculum. Registration VBCC accepts registration throughout the year until enrollment reaches a maximum of 170. Registration for the 2010–11 school year began in January 2010, and registration for the 2011-12 school year will begin in January 2011. We currently have openings in our MWF and TTH programs for 12–18 month olds, older 2s, and 3s. Please e-mail preschool@vbc-va.org or call 703-281-2021 to inquire about registration. Registration process: After our in-house registration of current families, we will conduct a lottery registration for new families and we will inform everyone who submits a lottery registration form of the outcome. After selection in the lottery, families will have an opportunity to bring their children to VBCC and complete registration paperwork. Dates for registration conferences are not yet determined. We continue to enroll students all year until we are full. Registration fee: $85 per child, $200 maximum per family; due at time of registration; nonrefundable
Limited scholarships are available. Cooperative program Parents are an important part of VBCC. Each parent is expected to work in the classroom a set number of days each year, according to the number of days the child attends VBCC.
