About Vienna Baptist Children's Center
A ministry of Vienna Baptist Church, the Vienna Baptist Children’s Center is a high-quality early childhood program that provides a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development of young children while responding to the needs of families. VBCC welcomes children ages 3 months through 5 years with diverse developmental needs.
Begun in 1971 as a Mother’s Day Out program, VBCC has grown into a developmental school serving 170 children a week from 127 families, served by a staff of 34—15 teachers, 16 teaching assistants, and four administrative staff. Together, the families and staff are culturally diverse, representing many countries from around the globe.
At VBCC, we teach that God is a loving God who made the world, loves all people, and expects us to love and care for each other. The school provides a multiethnic environment of books, pictures, music, dolls, and toys. Prayer, religious songs, Bible stories, and the teaching of Christian values are included in our curriculum.
The VBCC schedule runs September through May, with a holiday schedule that closely parallels that of Fairfax County Public Schools. Classes, hours, and fees for 2011–12 are below.

This winter, VBCC will hold orientation sessions for the school year that begins in September 2012. These information sessions will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on January 12, January 25, and February 7. Each session will give an overview of the school, a tour of the school in session, and a time for questions and answers.
If you would like to attend, please call Melissa Stahr in the VBCC office at 703-281-2021 ext. 112 to indicate which day you will come. We ask that you do not bring any children older than 6 months to these sessions.
Registration process: After our in-house registration of current families, we will conduct a lottery registration for new families and we will inform everyone who submits a lottery registration form of the outcome. After selection in the lottery, families will have an opportunity to bring their children to VBCC and complete registration paperwork. Dates for registration conferences are not yet determined. We continue to enroll students all year until we are full. Registration fee: $85 per child, $200 maximum per family; due at time of registration; nonrefundable Annual individual supply fee: 2 days: $70
3 days: $100
4 days: $130 5 days: $160 Limited scholarships are available. Parents are an important part of VBCC. Each parent is expected to work in the classroom a set number of days each year, according to the number of days the child attends VBCC. If child attends | Parent works | Cooping frequency | Each additional child | 2 days | 6 days | about every 6 weeks | 3 days | 3 days | 8 days | about once a month | 4 days | 4 days | 9 days | about once a month | 5 days | 5 days | 10 days | about once a month | 6 days | We provide Parent Helper Training and Positive Discipline Training. All new parents are strongly encouraged to attend these sessions, which are also valuable for all parents. Vienna Baptist Children’s Center
